The Deep Dive: As popular as the multi-material TaylorMade Spider putters have become, there will always be a meaningful group of golfers who want a milled putter. For them, feel is everything. At impact, they want to know exactly what the club is doing and where on the face the ball was struck. No layers, no guesswork, just feedback.
TaylorMade had those golfers in mind when it developed the new SYSTM2 line. These blades and mid-mallets feel less like a reaction to trends and more like a return to something foundational.
The starting point SYSTM2 is material. Each head is crafted from soft, metal injection molded, 304 stainless steel. It gives the putters a quieter, more responsive feel at impact. The Bandon and Ardmore are mid-mallets, a putter style that has grown in popularity over the last decade. They sit between traditional blades and larger mallets, offering a balance of control and forgiveness. Both shapes are available with either an L-Neck or a single bend shaft, which allows golfers to match the putter to the way they naturally move it. Players with more arc in their stroke can let the toe rotate, while those who prefer a straighter motion can keep the face more stable.
