PXG is bringing its clubs into PGA Tour Superstore locations, making it easier for golfers to test and compare gear in one fitting session.

Since it was founded a decade ago, finding a set of PXG irons or trying one of the brand’s woods required a little bit of effort. You either went to PXG’s website to buy something, picked up the phone to schedule a fitting, or made a trip to one of the company’s retail locations. That was intentional. PXG built its business around a controlled, customized experience, and if you wanted in, you had to go to PXG.

That changes now.

PXG announced Tuesday that it is partnering with PGA Tour Superstore to bring its clubs, golf balls and accessories into select store locations, with plans to expand nationwide by the end of the year. The gear will also be available online through the retailer, and fittings will be handled inside Superstore’s existing hitting bays, with clubs built to PXG’s specifications.

In simple terms, PXG is stepping into the same retail space as Titleist, Ping, Callaway and TaylorMade. That’s a meaningful shift.

The move says a lot about where PXG is now as a company. For years, it operated almost like a direct-to-consumer brand, leaning heavily on its own channels and its own fitting network. Combined with its ultra-premium pricing when the company launched in 2015, that approach helped create a sense that PXG was high-performance and exclusive, a brand built with a certain level of aspiration in mind.

But the modern golf shopper thinks differently. Most golfers want to walk into one place, hit everything, compare results and make a decision. They’re not interested in scheduling multiple fittings just to figure out how one iron stacks up against another.

By moving into PGA Tour Superstore, PXG is putting itself where more golfers already are when they’re thinking about buying new equipment. If a player walks in to test drivers or irons, PXG can now be part of the conversation instead of requiring a separate appointment. That matters because a lot of equipment decisions are made in hitting bays with the same fitter tracking ball speed, launch and dispersion and then comparing results side-by-side.

For PXG, that means more exposure and, most likely, more volume. It also means the brand has to win on performance in a more direct way. When you’re sitting next to everything else, there’s no mystery. Golfers are going to hit it, look at the numbers and decide.

There’s also a trade-off. PXG is giving up a little of the exclusivity it built in its early years. In return, it becomes easier to discover, easier to test and easier to buy. At this stage, it’s a trade the company is willing to make.

For PGA Tour Superstore, the upside is straightforward.

The retailer has spent years positioning itself as a place where selection and fitting come together, and PXG deepens its lineup of premium brands. It’s another option in the fitting bay and a point of differentiation in the marketplace.

It also reinforces something Superstore has been emphasizing: that its fitting experience can stand alongside other retail experiences. PXG, like most brands, has always stressed that its clubs perform best when properly fit. Bringing that philosophy into Superstore locations serves as a quiet endorsement of the retailer’s setup and its fitters.

Zoom out a little, and this partnership feels like a sign of where the equipment business is heading. Golfers want convenience, but they also want confidence. They want to know they’ve tried everything that matters before they spend money on clubs. This move gets PXG into that mix in a bigger way, and it gives PGA Tour Superstore one more reason to say yes when golfers ask a simple question: Can I try everything here?
