15 years ago, BIG MAX created a line of leather golf bags under the name JoeJo. For the founders, it was a true passion project and the realization of a long held ambition to create a golf bag that was both beautiful and exceptionally well made.

In the end, genuine leather did not fully meet the standards BIG MAX sets for its products. The ambition remained, but one question stayed with BIG MAX: is there a material that offers the soft feel of leather without its weaknesses?

That development took five years. Five years of testing, rejection, and refinement to create a material that met BIG MAX standards for robustness, durability, and long term performance.

For a time, standard PU seemed like a solution, but in practice it quickly showed wear, scratches, and abrasion. The answer lay deeper in those five years of development in a material that became known as SoftGuard PU.

SoftGuard PU brings together qualities that rarely exist side by side in conventional materials. It is scratch resistant and abrasion resistant, allowing the surface to maintain its character even after intensive use. It is water repellent and weather resistant, performing reliably in a wide range of conditions. It is easy to clean, without the need for extensive care or treatment. It remains structurally stable and durable, preserving both its shape and surface over time. At the same time, it feels soft and luxurious to the touch, and is robust enough for the realities of everyday golf, from the cart to the car trunk, from travel to the driving range.

So what better place to showcase this incredible development than a quarry! Stone, dust, and rough surfaces create an environment that could hardly be more demanding. No studio. No artificial perfection.

The Prime Collection

With Prime, BIG MAX has created a line for 2026 that goes far beyond individual products. The Dri Lite Prime, the Dri Lite Hybrid Prime, and the Dri Lite Silencio Prime combine proven Dri Lite construction with SoftGuard PU as the core material.

Prime is not a departure from the rest of the BIG MAX world. It is a natural next step that shows off the brand’s desire to innovate, experiment and deliver the very best.

“With Prime, we never wanted to develop a bag that simply looked good. From the very beginning, our goal was to create a material that solves a real design challenge.” Commented Maxi Reiter, Head of Marketing at BIG MAX. “SoftGuard PU is softer than standard PU and more durable at the same time. That is not a compromise, it is focused material development. That is exactly what drives us: creating products that prove themselves in use.”

What BIG MAX has successfully done with trolleys for decades, Prime and SoftGuard PU now brings to the golf bag. The question was clear from the start: why should golfers have to choose between a luxury feel and true durability? SoftGuard PU is the answer. It is a design solution that is thoughtful, tested, and made for the golf course.

Motocaddy In Prime Position For PGA Show https://golfingnetworks.com/motocaddy-in-prime-position-for-pga-show/ https://golfingnetworks.com/motocaddy-in-prime-position-for-pga-show/#respond Mon, 16 Mar 2026 05:59:41 +0000 https://golfingnetworks.com/motocaddy-in-prime-position-for-pga-show/

Prominent booth location supporting the brand’s largest-ever presence

Motocaddy, the world’s leading electric caddy brand, has secured a prominent position at the upcoming PGA Show, exhibiting at booth #2363 in the main exhibition hall just off the central thoroughfare. The location provides an ideal platform for the company to showcase its latest game-changing innovations to golf operators from across the United States and Canada.

Positioned for maximum visibility, the striking Motocaddy booth will incorporate dynamic multimedia displays and feature the latest 2026 product lineup, designed to elevate the playing experience and drive new revenue opportunities for courses and resorts of every size.

The expanded 2026 product range – featuring groundbreaking upgrades to its award‑winning electric caddy lineup – M7 GPS REMOTE, M7 REMOTE, M5 GPS DHC and M1 DHC – includes a refreshed selection of rental-ready models, along with four eye-catching cart bags, the QB2 push cart and a range of complementary add-on accessories. The new products underscore Motocaddy’s commitment to helping operators enhance customer satisfaction with unrivaled reliability, while also unlocking incremental revenue opportunities.

Supporting the brand’s largest-ever PGA Show presence, Motocaddy’s U.S. sales leadership team is on hand throughout the week, including Andy Warren, PGA (VP of Sales), Mike Samoles (VP of Sales), Andrew Cook who covers the state of California and Joe Finemore, PGA, the company’s new full‑time sales representative for New England and Connecticut and its second full‑time U.S. rep after Cook. They are joined by a wider network of independent sales representatives and key members of the brand’s global leadership team to meet with course operators, PGA Professionals, and industry partners.

“We’ve invested heavily in products that not only improve golfer’s health and performance on the course, but also deliver meaningful commercial benefits for our partners,” said Warren. “With more facilities recognizing the value of electric caddies in boosting pace of play, providing golfers with non-cart path opportunities, and creating new rental income streams, this year’s PGA Show is the perfect platform to demonstrate why Motocaddy continues to lead the category,” he added.

Visitors to booth #2363 can explore the full 2026 portfolio, including the updated award-winning M7 GPS REMOTE, featuring brand‑new geofencing technology designed specifically for rental fleets. The booth also includes hands-on demonstrations, live product walk-throughs, and dedicated sessions for course owners, GMs, and PGA Professionals looking to modernize their rental and in-store retail offering.

Motocaddy will also be exhibiting at Demo Day, providing attendees with the chance to test‑drive the complete 2026 range in real-world conditions. The brand’s presence at the PGA Show follows a year of record growth across North America, including a 40% increase in green-grass retail accounts in 2025.

This impressive expansion reflects the brand’s growing popularity among American golfers and retailers, driven by the proven performance, reliability, convenience and health benefits of walking the course with an electric caddy. Remote control models such as the multi-award-winning M7 GPS REMOTE and M7 REMOTE have been the most popular choice among U.S. golfers. The remote category accounted for 85% of the brand’s overall sales in the world’s largest market for the last 12 months.

“The surge in demand for powered caddies shows no sign of slowing, and Motocaddy remains at the forefront of this expanding category,” said Samoles. “The momentum is driving real value across the industry, from enhanced golfer experience to strong retail margins and a proven rental model that offers operators impressive returns with limited initial outlay.”

Motocaddy invites PGA Show attendees to visit booth #2363 to meet its knowledgeable team and discover how Motocaddy can ‘Supercharge’ their business for 2026.
