The spirit of escapism runs through PING’s Spring Summer 2026 menswear collection, a range infused with the simplicity of nature and inspired by tropical landscapes. The SS26 line introduces a relaxed confidence that blends performance with style, creating apparel that looks and feels effortless while retaining the technical excellence that defines PING Apparel.

This season sees further evolution with a broader choice of fabrics and styling. New blends, including a performance cotton used in the Gideon polo, enhance comfort and feel across the range.

Colour stories bring depth and energy, from the serene tones of Atlantis and tropical motifs of Rhapsody to the breezy optimism of Escapism and Clubhouse Days, while Heritage anchors the collection with classic familiarity.

Standout polos deliver style and versatility

Leading the range is the eye catching Ephron polo, a standout within SS26. Offered in Micro Maze, Split Ball and Ripple Print designs, Ephron delivers bold visual appeal in stretch fabric engineered for freedom of movement.

A concealed button down collar creates a clean finish, with subtle PING Eye branding at the sleeve and back neck.

Alongside it, the Marek polo offers a more lifestyle focused look through a contemporary camo jacquard and soft touch performance feel.

The Orlando polo adds expressive energy with printed pique constructions and striking linear foliage motifs, broadening the visual identity of the collection.

Layers, trousers and junior options expand the range

Responding to the popularity of hooded styles, the Haldon hoodie remains a staple. Engineered with SensorWarm technology, it provides lightweight warmth and comfort, enhanced by a one piece underarm panel for unrestricted swing movement.

New for SS26, the Faron quarter zip mid layer features a grid jacquard front and refined centre chest PING logo. Available in Navy, Pearl Grey and Inky, it offers versatile styling across the golfer’s wardrobe.

The new Hendry trouser introduces a tapered performance silhouette for improved fit and freedom of movement, with five pockets and integrated gripper details combining modern tailoring with tour driven functionality.

PING’s attention to detail extends across the range, which now includes junior sizing for the Lindum polo and Ramsey mid layer, allowing younger golfers to enjoy the same performance and style as their role models.

Every garment is built on PING’s Sensor technology platform, delivering freedom of movement and all day comfort in all conditions.

With each season the PING menswear collection continues to evolve, and SS26 is no exception. It is a wardrobe designed for moments on and off the course, from the swing to the clubhouse, thoughtfully created and ready to be lived in.

TRIED AND TESTED: PING G440 LST DRIVER https://golfingnetworks.com/tried-and-tested-ping-g440-lst-driver/ https://golfingnetworks.com/tried-and-tested-ping-g440-lst-driver/#respond Mon, 20 Apr 2026 03:40:48 +0000 https://golfingnetworks.com/tried-and-tested-ping-g440-lst-driver/

PING has become known for creating drivers that are incredibly easy to hit. I had great results using the G430 10K last year.

I could hit it anywhere on the face and get good results. Spin wasn’t overly high, and it felt good. But it wasn’t perfect. The head was oversized and looked very busy, with all the recesses on the crown, and it didn’t have any moveable weights. The G440 LST solves every one of those issues.

The compact head (450cc) looks much more manageable behind the ball. Other than the turbulators, the crown is now smooth with a two-tone finish.

Older PING drivers could be a bit clangy, but these new carbon crown models feel so solid and balanced. And while it’s not the lowest-spinning low spin driver, the spin is very consistent, so drives are highly repeatable.

On the launch monitor, there are other drivers I might be able to hit five, even ten yards further. But I’ve never hit a driver that consistently puts me in the fairway like the G440 LST does.

I’m not playing good golf currently. I’ve got no real feel for my swing. Despite that, the majority of my drives are down the centre of the fairway.

I’ve made a couple of really bad strikes out of the toe recently, and in the past, that would often result in a duck hook. With PING’s Spinsistency design built into the toe, those hooks turn into mostly straight drives. I really have to be trying to hit the ball hard to miss the fairway by any distance.

PING introduce i240 irons for all golfers https://golfingnetworks.com/ping-introduce-i240-irons-for-all-golfers/ https://golfingnetworks.com/ping-introduce-i240-irons-for-all-golfers/#respond Sat, 18 Apr 2026 15:32:26 +0000 https://golfingnetworks.com/ping-introduce-i240-irons-for-all-golfers/

Continuing its focus on engineering irons to fit the needs of all skill levels, PING has launched the i240 irons.

A players-style design that combines shot-making precision with score-saving forgiveness. The i240 iron is now available for custom fittings at authorised PING retailers around the world.

“The new i240 irons are engineered to appeal to a wide range of skill levels,” said John K. Solheim, PING CEO & President.

“They provide precision and control with a great feel, so they technically fit into the ‘players iron’ category.

But they also offer the MOI and higher launch of a game-improvement iron. We’ve designed it with more of a true cavity-back look to inform golfers of its forgiveness properties.

They are a great solution for avid players who like the look, feel and performance of a blade-style iron but can also benefit from added forgiveness when they aren’t as precise with their ball striking.

They pack a lot of performance into one model.”

i240 TRUE CAVITY-BACK DESIGN

A more traditional cavity design signifies the perimeter-weighting benefits of the iron while maintaining a clean, players-style look.

The cavity badge and activated elastomer technology allow PING engineers to save significant weight, which is re-allocated within the clubhead to position the center of gravity (CG) lower for more distance, increased control and higher launch.

The weight savings also increase the MOI for more forgiveness, most notably in the long and mid irons.

“The i240 iron sits in the middle of our iron offerings, so it requires us to balance a variety of performance attributes that appeal to a wider range of golfers,” Solheim said. “We’re seeing tighter dispersion and higher launch throughout the set that we know all players can appreciate.

We’re also providing more distance in a way that is predictable and repeatable to ensure it meets the precise shot-making needs of the best players in the world.”

PLEASING IMPACT EXPERIENCE

The multi-material badge, which is 8.5 grams lighter than the i230 badge, is comprised of a chrome-plated ABS with carbon fibre inlay.

The activated elastomer insert supports the face, helping to provide more efficient energy transfer across the entire face and a softer feel and pleasing sound.

TOUR INSPIRED

Balancing the needs of the top players in the world while expanding the performance features to attract a wider audience of golfers required a careful approach to the overall design.

The face technology has been updated with a return to fewer and wider grooves, a request from tour pros in search of more spin from the fairway.

The engineers also maintained the player-preferred size and shape for distance and trajectory control.

The i240’s sole design is similar to previous designs, with a rounded lead edge and ample bounce to promote smooth turf interaction for clean and solid strikes.

“Meeting the needs of our tour pros and better players is important to the success of the i240 irons,” Solheim said. “We continually seek the players’ feedback.

The groove technology is a perfect example of us learning from them. They’ve reacted favorably to the new design, including the added forgiveness and higher launch, and we’re seeing more and more go into bags every week.

Their validation of this design goes a long way in giving golfers the confidence that they can also benefit from the i240 irons and shoot lower scores.”

PING Launch New AW25 Men’s Collection https://golfingnetworks.com/ping-launch-new-aw25-mens-collection/ https://golfingnetworks.com/ping-launch-new-aw25-mens-collection/#respond Sun, 05 Apr 2026 01:08:13 +0000 https://golfingnetworks.com/ping-launch-new-aw25-mens-collection/
PING have launched its latest AW25 men’s apparel collection, showcasing a fusion of authentic golf performance with innovative design. This range emphasises weather-ready functionality and advanced technology, while delivering a bold sense of style for the course.

PING has revolutionised its waterproof jacket lineup, by introducing three new standout designs, providing golfers a choice of performance benefits to suit their game.

The Impervious Jacket provides golfers with an ultra-soft, quiet waterproof (20,000mm), thanks to its flexible 3-layer knitted fabric an alternative to a traditional waterproof fabric that can be noisier.

It features innovative seam-free construction under the arms, ensuring enhanced overarm mobility and complete freedom of movement – perfect for tackling the elements on the course.

Engineered for highly breathable and ultra lightweight performance, the AquaDrive Jacket is crafted with a 2.5-layer performance fabric, designed for superior comfort and protection against the elements.

Its highly breathable membrane feels smooth against the skin, helping to keep the wearer cool and dry as the body warms up and produces sweat during the round.

Another exciting addition is the AquaDrive Half-Zip Jacket, made from a 2.5-layer advanced performance fabric, designed to provide comfort and protection in wet and windy conditions.

This half-zip waterproof jacket is extremely lightweight and highly breathable – the perfect waterproof pull-over for any golfer.

The AquaDrive Pant complements these two jackets, to ensure seamless flexibility and unrestricted movement.

AquaDrive Half-Zip Jacket

Designed with a reduced weight for added comfort, these pants offer exceptional performance in wet conditions without compromising mobility and are available in black or navy.

All three ‘AquaDrive’ garments have a breathability rating of 30,000 g/m2 and are waterproof to 10,000mm, offering superior levels of breathability and waterproof protection.
Astbury Blue Fusion

PING’s renowned Norse Series sees a further evolution, with the all-new Norse Cocoon Jacket – a fully insulated PrimaLoft jacket engineered for superior lightweight warmth and stretch in cold weather.

With ThermoPlume insulation in the front body and PrimaLoft Silver Active insulation in the sleeves, back and side body, it provides golfers the perfect blend of ultimate warmth and lightweight freedom of movement during the coldest rounds. The Norse Cocoon Vest also joins this elite outerwear collection and is crafted with the same design elements as the jacket, making this style the ideal layering piece for winter golf.

Another standout piece in the collection is the Astbury, a half-zip hybrid fleece that features new technology for AW25. Engineered with Clo Insulation, its zoned upper front body panel is constructed with Vivo Extreme, a patented perforation that offers extreme breathability and four-way stretch, perfect for comfort and movement in varying conditions.

Astbury Blue Fusion

This versatile layering piece is a first for PING and can be worn with the AquaDrive Jacket for added warmth and waterproof protection.

For those looking for a hooded fleece, PING has added a new style to the collection this year, the Nexa. Designed for comfort and warmth against the wind, this garment also features a water-resistant finish for added protection.

This hooded fleece is two-toned with a camouflage pattern that is knitted into the fabric for a bold contemporary look.

PING have also added newness within their polo category with two new styles. The Julian Polo features three impactful print designs: a PING Eye Mark micro dot, a multicoloured mini flag, and a brush stroke camo.

This SensorCool® polo is engineered for moisture-moving comfort in all weather conditions and is a classic garment to supplement this collection’s new mid-layers and jackets. Also new is the Creek Long Sleeve Polo, engineered for moisture-moving comfort in all conditions with its heathered SensorCool® fabric.

PING Unveils New s259 Wedge Series https://golfingnetworks.com/ping-unveils-new-s259-wedge-series/ https://golfingnetworks.com/ping-unveils-new-s259-wedge-series/#respond Thu, 02 Apr 2026 01:01:23 +0000 https://golfingnetworks.com/ping-unveils-new-s259-wedge-series/

PING has introduced the new s259 wedge series, its latest generation of tour-proven specialty wedges designed to deliver increased spin, control and versatility for golfers of all abilities.

Available for custom fitting and pre-sale now at authorised PING retailers worldwide, the s259 range features 25 loft and grind combinations across two finishes – Hydropearl 2.0 Chrome and Midnight – offering one of the most comprehensive wedge fitting line-ups on the market.

“The s259 wedges are already winning on Tour and continuing to find their way into players’ bags around the world,” said John K. Solheim, PING CEO & President.

“Players love the clean look, versatility and the ability to launch and spin shots with precise control.

We’ve refined our grinds and expanded loft options to help more golfers achieve proper gapping and improved short-game performance.”

Spin and Control Where It Matters Most

The s259 wedges feature wheel-cut grooves and a precision-machined face, combined with advanced face-blast technology to increase surface friction and maximise spin.

Higher-lofted models (54°–62°) use tightly spaced MicroMax grooves for enhanced greenside control, while 46°–52° wedges are optimised for consistency and distance control on full shots.

Extensive player testing has shown the wedges perform exceptionally well in both wet and dry conditions.

“Our wedge-face technology is designed to retain spin and control in real-world playing conditions,” added Solheim. “That consistency can provide a genuine short-game advantage.”

The Hydropearl 2.0 Chrome finish is hydrophobic, helping repel moisture at impact, while the Midnight finish offers a darker, anti-glare appearance (available exclusively in the SS grind).

Ping s259
s259 Midnight finish

Tour-Inspired Feel and Shape

Each s259 wedge is cast from 8620 carbon steel and features a larger, re-shaped elastomer insert behind the face to deliver a soft, tour-preferred feel.

Refinements to the head shape, hosel transition and full-length bottom groove create a clean, square look at address, while progressive hosel shaping helps the wedges blend seamlessly into PING’s iron line-up.

Centre of gravity placement varies by loft, ensuring lower-lofted wedges are optimised for speed and gapping, while higher-lofted models offer more visual offset to inspire confidence when opening the face around the greens.

Custom fit comes with different sole grinds

Six Grinds to Suit Every Swing

PING continues its commitment to custom fitting with six distinct sole grinds (S, H, B, T, W and E), including refinements to the popular E and T grinds and the addition of new 50°W and 52°W options.

  • S Grind – Versatile mid-bounce option suited to a wide range of players and conditions

  • H Grind – Inspired by PING WRX, ideal for softer turf and steeper swings

  • B Grind – Low-bounce design for shallow attack angles and firmer conditions

  • T Grind – Lowest effective bounce for maximum versatility on tight lies

  • W Grind – Wide sole offering maximum forgiveness for steeper players

  • E Grind – Eye2-style sole for consistent performance from bunkers and tight lies

“Finding the correct sole grind is key to unlocking wedge performance,” said Solheim. “That’s why custom fitting is so important, whether you’re a tour professional or a club golfer.”

Updated WebFit Wedge App

PING has also updated its WebFit Wedge app, allowing golfers to quickly identify the best s259 wedge setup for their game.

The browser-based tool requires no download or registration and is accessible via QR code in pro shops and at ping.com.

New Dyla-Grip for Greater Shot Control

The s259 wedges are fitted with PING’s new Dyla-Grip, featuring subtle hand-placement indicators to assist with gripping down, shaft lean and face manipulation.

The grip is ¾-inch longer with a reduced taper, designed to enhance feel and control on finesse shots around the green.

Ping G740 irons bring more forgiveness, higher launch https://golfingnetworks.com/ping-g740-irons-bring-more-forgiveness-higher-launch/ https://golfingnetworks.com/ping-g740-irons-bring-more-forgiveness-higher-launch/#respond Sun, 22 Mar 2026 08:05:30 +0000 https://golfingnetworks.com/ping-g740-irons-bring-more-forgiveness-higher-launch/

Ping’s max game-improvement G740 irons are big, ultra-forgiving and have soles designed to help golfers get more consistency.

Gear: Ping G740 irons

Price: $202.50 per club with Ping AWT 3.0 steel shafts and Golf Pride Tour Velvet 360 grips. $317.50 with Ping Alta CB Blue graphite shafts

Specs: Cast 17-4 stainless steel construction with PurFlex badge, dual-camber sole, machined faces and grooves, and Hydropearl 2.0 finish. Available in 5–9, PW, UW, 50, 56-degree.

Available: March 10

Who it’s for: Golfers who want maximum forgiveness, higher launch, and more distance in a max game-improvement iron.

What you should know: The G740 is built to boost launch, ball speed, and consistency across the set for golfers who shoot in the 90s and 100s by providing a large, flexible hitting area and extra-wide sole.

The Deep Dive: Ping has never tried to disguise what the G-series irons are meant to be: Easy to hit, forgiving, and confidence-inspiring for the average golfer. While the i-series caters to better players who prize precision and the ability to shape shots, the G-series offerings are for those who are more interested in hitting a 7-iron the proper distance than carving fades into tucked pins. The new G740 irons extend that legacy, but with a refined look and sound that should appeal to a wider range of players.

The G740 is the largest iron in Ping’s lineup. It also has the longest blade length, a thicker topline and a meaningful amount of offset. While accomplished golfers may shy away from those traits, many players with handicaps of 20 or higher find them reassuring. For golfers who struggle to string together a few solid iron swings, that size creates confidence.

The G740 features a cast 17-4 stainless steel body, a material Ping favors for its strength and durability. Designers gave the G740 a 360-degree undercut cavity that removes mass from the center of the head and pushes it toward the perimeter, allowing the face to flex more at impact while increasing stability on off-center strikes.

The G740’s moment of inertia (MOI) is also boosted by the addition of high-density heel and toe weights, which further help reduce twisting on mis-hits.

Inside the cavity, the G740 added a three-piece PurFlex badge to the back of each head, divided into multiple zones. Instead of one large insert dampening vibration, smaller interconnected sections work together to control sound and feel without overly stiffening the hitting area. This lets the face continue to flex freely while delivering a more solid sensation at impact and reducing the hollow, “clicky” sound often associated with irons in this category.

Perhaps the most meaningful upgrade over the G730 irons, which these clubs replace, is the reshaped sole. The G740 has a dual-camber design with a slightly rounded leading edge and more contour from front to back. This should help the clubs move through the turf more efficiently, reduce digging for players with a steep angle of attack and help golfers maintain clubhead speed through impact. It’s the same design philosophy Ping applies to its better-player irons, but adapted here for golfers who need more forgiveness.

The long and mid-irons are designed to launch higher and land softer, making it easier to hold greens. The short irons and wedges are more compact and feature fully-machined faces and grooves to enhance consistency in the scoring zone. Ping also applied its Hydropearl 2.0 finish to the G740. It repels moisture, reduces glare and helps preserve spin in wet or dewy conditions.

Close House to host PING Junior Masters in 2026 – Golf News https://golfingnetworks.com/close-house-to-host-ping-junior-masters-in-2026-golf-news/ https://golfingnetworks.com/close-house-to-host-ping-junior-masters-in-2026-golf-news/#respond Tue, 17 Mar 2026 19:15:30 +0000 https://golfingnetworks.com/close-house-to-host-ping-junior-masters-in-2026-golf-news/

Close House will once again take centre stage in junior golf in 2026 as it hosts both a qualifying event and the grand final of the PING Junior Masters.

The award winning Northumberland club, recently recognised as Junior Golf Programme of the Year, continues its long standing commitment to creating meaningful competitive opportunities for aspiring golfers.

The 2026 series is set to eclipse previous years. It will feature nine qualifying events across seven counties before culminating in a full tour experience final on Close House’s Championship Colt Course on 27 October 2026.

Each qualifying event will be played off nett scores. This ensures accessibility and gives a broader range of junior golfers the opportunity to progress to the grand final.

From every venue, two boys and one girl from the Under 12, Under 15 and Under 18 categories will earn their place in the final. The result will be a diverse and inclusive field representing clubs nationwide.

Backed by PING Europe and Lee Westwood

Originally launched in 2017 alongside the British Masters at Close House, the PING Junior Masters has grown into one of the UK’s most exciting and accessible junior series.

Backed by PING Europe and supported by former Ryder Cup star and Close House Attached Tour Professional Lee Westwood, the event offers young golfers a taste of elite competition in a professional tournament setting.

“Since we launched the Junior Masters in 2017 alongside the British Masters at Close House the programme has gone from strength to strength,” said Westwood.

“I am immensely proud of how it has evolved, providing young golfers the chance to compete at some fantastic courses across the UK whilst gaining invaluable competitive experience. Congratulations PING and Close House for the award winning initiative.”

“The Junior Masters is a cornerstone of our junior pathway,” said Jonathan Lupton, Managing Director at Close House.

“It provides a competitive platform for talented young players while also supporting our wider grassroots initiatives. Our goal is not only to host great tournaments but to help create long term engagement with the sport.”

Dave Fanning, European Marketing Director at PING Europe, added: “The Junior Masters perfectly reflects what junior golf should be about, opportunity, development and enjoyment.

“We’re proud to support a series that continues to grow and create memorable experiences for young golfers.”

Grassroots impact beyond competition

Beyond competition, the initiative continues to have a significant community impact.

Through the Junior Masters programme, the Close House PGA Teaching Team delivers free coaching to more than 1,000 schoolchildren annually. The aim is to introduce golf to new audiences and strengthen the sport at grassroots level.

The PING Junior Masters Final will take place at Close House on 28 October 2026.

G440 K driver sets PING MOI record; advances forgiveness and speed to new highs https://golfingnetworks.com/g440-k-driver-sets-ping-moi-record-advances-forgiveness-and-speed-to-new-highs/ https://golfingnetworks.com/g440-k-driver-sets-ping-moi-record-advances-forgiveness-and-speed-to-new-highs/#respond Wed, 28 Jan 2026 00:14:46 +0000 https://golfingnetworks.com/g440-k-driver-sets-ping-moi-record-advances-forgiveness-and-speed-to-new-highs/

PHOENIX – A record-setting MOI for a PING driver makes the new G440 K the company’s straightest and most forgiving model to date while delivering golfers faster ball speeds and CG-shifting adjustability for more distance, PING CEO & President John K. Solheim announced today.

The G440 K driver is available for custom fittings and pre-order at authorized PING golf shops around the world beginning today.

“We’re hearing a lot of great comments about how forgiving and straight the new G440 K driver is, which ultimately leads to more distance for the golfer,” said Solheim. “It’s fun to hear that feedback, and we’re excited to get the ‘K’ into the hands of more golfers.”

“Our record-setting combined MOI in the G440 K driver is primarily attributed to the new carbon crown and sole called Dual Carbonfly Wrap, which provides significant weight savings that are optimized elsewhere in the club. Among the key advancements from our previous highest-MOI driver, the award-winning G430 MAX 10K, is a heavier, adjustable back weight that positions the CG location for higher ball speeds and the ability to influence ball flight by moving the weight into one of three locations. Refinements to our T9S+ face structure provide higher, more consistent ball speeds across the face, leading to greater distance.”

G440 Driver Family Grows

The G440 K driver joins the G440 family of drivers (MAX, SFT, LST), each custom fit and custom built to fit a variety of skill levels.

“The ‘K’ is a great addition to the G440 driver line, providing another custom-fitting option loaded with innovations,” said Solheim. “We encourage golfers to experience a PING driver custom fitting with one of our expert fitters around the world who’ve been trained in our fitting techniques and are equipped with our fitting tools. They’ll analyze your launch-monitor results to help find the G440 driver that best fits your game. Whether it’s the new K, the MAX, the LST or SFT, there’s a PING G440 driver for every golfer.”

Dual Carbonfly Wrap Technology

Weight savings from the carbon crown and sole in the G440 K driver are re-allocated within the design, mainly into a high-density tungsten back weight, which drives the CG lower and deeper for faster ball speeds and helps achieve the record-setting MOI for a PING driver. In addition to being four grams heavier than the G430 MAX 10K, the back weight is movable to one of three positions (Draw, Neutral, Fade) to shift the CG and achieve the desired results.

“The combined MOI of the G440 K driver surpasses our previous mark and continues our pursuit of engineering the highest-performing drivers in the world,” said Solheim. “It’s a remarkable accomplishment for our engineering team to offer golfers this new level of forgiveness with the benefits of weight adjustability.”

The proven T9S+ forged face of the G440 K driver continues to evolve and brings golfers faster ball speeds for longer and straighter drives. The combination of a shallower face and refinements to the VFT shaping provide more flexing, retaining consistent ball speeds across the entire face, especially in the high heel region. Spinsistency, our variable-face-curvature innovation, helps ensure consistent spin and maintain ball velocity.

“We continue to rely on our proprietary T9S+ face technology as it gives us the highest performance and consistency for overall flexing and ball-speed retention,” said Solheim. “We don’t sacrifice speed for forgiveness. Golfers can have both. The G440 K driver is a prime example of that. It provides exceptional ball speed, delivers extremely tight dispersion and launches high with optimal spin. That translates to longer and straighter drives.”

Sound Design

Joining the Ti-811 body to the carbon crown and sole of the G440 K driver while ensuring a pleasing sound required PING’s engineering team to develop a composite crown bridge and sole ribs to stiffen the crown and sole during impact, resulting in a solid and slightly muted impact experience.

“With the addition of the carbon sole, we knew the sound characteristics of the G440 K driver would be different than previous models,” said Solheim. “Through finite element analysis (FEA), sound testing and player feedback, our engineers developed the lightweight crown bridge and sole ribs to combat any undesirable frequencies. The G440 K driver has a very pleasing and confident sound.”

G440 K HL (High Launch)

The lighter overall weight of the G440 K HL driver is an ideal build for slower-swing-speed golfers who don’t generate sufficient clubhead speed and ball velocity from traditionally weighted clubs. Custom engineered and custom built at 46″ with a lighter back weight (28g), ultra-light shafts (PING Alta Quick 35/45) and grip (Lamkin UTx Lite, 41g), the result is a lower overall system weight so golfers can swing faster and generate more ball speed for higher-launching, longer-carrying and straighter tee shots. Available in 9°, 10.5°, and 12° lofts.
